Prevalence of Pediculosis Capitis in Primary School Children in Gaziantep Province

The prevalence of pediculosis capitis was investigated in 24 primary schools situated the city Gaziantep and near villages. Among 15213 pupils searched for capitis, 7061(46.42 %) were girls 8103(53.58 boys. Five hundred seventy-three pupils(3.76 had charecteriz.ed by mites and/or nits on their scalp's hairs. Of these 573 patients, 524 (3.44 49(0.32 province found relatively low from those previously performed studies different regions Turkey.
